Transient Luminous Event Sprite Cluster June 13 2012 04:25:14 UT This sprite cluster occurred west of Amarillo, Texas near the New Mexico state line. To the right of the bright sprites in the image above are lesser developed sprites that are visible in the movie at slower speeds. The horizontal bands are storm generated mesospheric gravity waves.
