Ashcraft's
Nightly Fireball and Forward Scatter Movie Archive
This
archive contains a nightly
record of meteoric fireballs
captured over the entire state
of New Mexico
from my observatory near Eldorado.
It contains meteors large
and small, plus unidentified captures.
The camera is an experimental all-sky
capture system on loan from Sandia
National Laboratories
and I have merged it with my forward
scatter radio array. It is producing very
fine data and
sonic specimens. The visual camera
can detect fireballs 350 miles
in all directions
which means that it
can see up to Denver and southwest
Kansas and down
into northern
Mexico. Quite amazing sensitivity
in all regards.

interesting specimens click

NOTE: A new archive is being developed to include
VLF/ELF Radio Observations at times of meteors.
Also,
I am still collecting nightly forward scatter data but am no longer archiving.
If you are
interested in a particular meteor since February 11, 2009 you can
inquire directly
to my mail information at the bottom of the page.
